The scorching heat

Lately, it's been so hot here in UIA. So hot that it feels like you want to be in an air conditioned room the whole time. Seriously. Even at 10 a.m., the morning sun is burning each one of us who are walking to and fro the kulliyyahs. This is the time when people will say : "This is the jihad in seeking knowledge. The challenges are not comparable to those what the great scholars and imams had gone through,though. Crossing the deserts on a camel or even on feet, just to get a hadith! So please, patience and gratitude."

The hotness of the sun is at its worst around 3 p.m. Even a speed 5 fan cannot win over the heat. What's more if you have a fan when at speed 4, it feels like a zero speed, like me. Unless you put on speed 5, it's the same like you didn't turn on the fan at all. The heat is so unbearable. Sweating in the closure of the room, when you're not even outside!

Bathing will not solve the problem coz it gonna feel like you're just wetting your body. No coolness. The water is as warm as the room. Be it in the morning, or in evening, it is just the same. The should-be-cool-morning bath is not satisfying. You will not feel the usual coolness of the morning bath (that always make you shiver out of cold) after waking up to a hot and stuffy room.

I wonder why is it so hot. Though it sometimes rain at night, it makes no difference. I long for the just nice weather, bright and breezy, not too hot and yet not that rainy.

Allah is testing us and punishing us too, I think. Too many sins without too many repentance.
